To be entirely accurate, this production IS the people involved. There are so many incredibly talented and dedicated individuals involved in this project, it's no wonder so much is being accomplished with so little financial expenditure. And what, you may ask, has attracted and continues to hold the attention and energy of this river of creativity? Horror. If this film were of any other genre (except maybe science fiction or porn), it wouldn't be occurring. Fans of horror films are ravenous and insatiable, above anything else. There are people that like comedies, action, drama, mysteries…, but for some reason horror not only seems to command a higher than average level of commitment from it's devotees, it invokes a certain curiosity… no, hunger for the why's and how's of it's creation. I think this is directly contributable to all the mess. Horror evokes quite a bit of fluid, in the telling of it's tales. I've noticed that a LARGE number of the other horror fans I've met, like me, seem to maintain a childlike quality in their psyche. The part that loves slimy, gooey messes, screaming at the top of one's lungs for no apparent reason and scaring the shit out of other people then laughing until your gut aches at their reaction. That part that most people seem to loose as they 'grow up'. That part that everyone involved with, Unbirthen'd seems to have maintained not only perfectly intact, but exhaustively compounded upon with adulthood. That, I believe explains how one can come up with a fun/twisted idea, and through flyer advertising, word of mouth and a lot of times mere kismet, attract over 30 (and constantly growing) incredibly talented artists who in most cases donate MANY hours of their time and mental/physical devotion to ensure that our idea is willed to it's fruition. THANK YOU ALL!
